- Are you controlled by your sexual desire?Is life unmanageable because of your excessive sexual needs?
- Have important parts of your life (such as job, family, friends, leisure activities) been neglected because you were spending too much time on sex?
- Has sex been a way for you to escape your problems?
- Have you felt the need to discontinue a certain form of sexual activity?
- Has your sexual activity interfered with your family life?
- Have you been sexual with minors?
- Do you feel controlled by your sexual desire?
Examples of the kind of sexual behaviour that may indicate you have a sex addiction are:-
- Compulsive masturbation
- Compulsive use of pornography
- Sleeping with strangers
- Having multiple, ongoing affairs
- Exhibitionism
- Fetishes
- Dangerous sexual practices
- Prostitution
- Anonymous sex
- Voyeurism
- Telephone sex
- Chat room/online sex
- Partner sex
- Illegal sexual practices
